Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Net Salary World (net-salary-world.com) processes, why, and your rights. The short version: you can use every page and calculator without an account, we do not sell personal data, and our visitor statistics are anonymous and cookie-free.

What we process and why

• Visitor statistics. We count page views with Rybbit, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves (analytics.pablobravo44.dev). It does not use cookies or similar storage and does not identify you. It records the page, referrer, country, device type and browser in aggregate. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Server and security logs. When your browser requests a page, our hosting infrastructure and Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery and security) process your IP address, the requested URL, the time and your browser's user agent to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse. Logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Calculator inputs. The salary and options you enter travel to our server in the page address, are used to compute the result and are not stored anywhere except in the server logs above.
• API use. To keep the free API available, requests are rate-limited per IP address. We keep a one-way hash of the address with a per-minute counter; old counters are deleted regularly and never used for anything else. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Email. If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, and keep them as long as needed for that conversation. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest.
• Advertising. The site does not show ads at the moment. If that changes, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first, and ad cookies will only be used as described there.

We do not use your data for automated decisions, we do not build profiles, and we do not collect sensitive data.

Who receives data

• Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, Inc., as processors that deliver the site.

No other third parties receive personal data, except where the law requires it. Some providers are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and ask for data portability. Write to pablobravo44@gmail.com; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es) or the authority in your country.

US residents. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to servers and logs is restricted to the publisher.

We will post any change on this page with a new "last updated" date.
